What is MiliConvert ?
MiliConvert is an application under GPL used to convert messages complying with a standard into XML files and vice versa convert XML files into formatted messages.
What is the cost of MiliConvert ?
MiliConvert is free. Developed under General Public Licence GPL, you can download it via SourceForge.net.
FAQ - utilisation
Which message formats are handled by MiliConvert ?
Ideally, all message formats (civilian and military) sufficiently formatted to be handled by MiliConvert. Simply write a script which can be used by the translator to convert it into an XML file. The reverse operation will be carried out using an XSLT file.

What configuration is required to use MiliConvert
MiliConvert was developed with JAVA and is therefore multi-platform. As long as your application has a JAVA environment, you can use MiliConvert.

Who is the project founder ?
The project, initiated by the DGA, is backed by the French Ministry of Defence.
Who directs the community ?
To ensure the success of the project, the DGA called on a number of experts and professionals from the world of general public software. In addition, anyone is welcome to contribute to the life of the community by taking part in the development or pointing out bugs.
How can I help with MiliConvert ?
There are many ways to take part in the development of MiliConvert in community mode:
- participate in the tests and point out any bugs,
- help write and translate the documents,
- participate in the software development,
- produce the configuration file to handle a new format,

FAQ - right and authorisation
Why is MiliConvert free ?
The founding team wants this software to be developed in community mode under general public license and free. Note, however, that general public licence does not mean free.
Can I copy and distribute MiliConvert software ?
MiliConvert is distributed under general public licence GPL, you are therefore entitled to copy the software and distribute it whilst complying with the licence.
